(INTERNATIONAL GRADUATES VISA CANADA)

This program lets foreign students that have offers of employment from Canadian employers an opportunity to obtain permanent residency. International graduates are given this opportunity while applying in their newly acquired skills and education and filing current labour shortages. Individuals are nominated by participating provinces based on their study in Canada or their ability to contribute to the economy.

This program is available through the provincial nominee programs for the following provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Saskatchewan. For each province the outlines differ as outlined below.

Alberta, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Saskatchewan programs, the graduate must have attended an eligible institution except for Ontario where it can be within Canada and completed a post-secondary educational program. Also have an offer of full-time employment in the field of study the graduate had studied and provide proof of having been employed with the same employer for a minimum of 3-6 months before submitting the application for this program. For some provinces not all requirements are necessarily required.

In British Columbia the graduate must have obtained either an undergraduate or a graduate degree from a college or university within the province. Also, the degree or diploma must be obtained within certain listed specialties and also have required GPA. Candidate must also be offered a full-time position within British Columbia to a job position in the field the graduate had studied.
